Visiting Mimi & Poppie's Feb & March 2012
When Jacob left on January 22, 2012 for OCS, McKenzie and I were a little lonely and wanted more than anything to be with family over the next long 10 weeks. McKenzie & I made a chain to represent the days until we would see daddy!
For the first 3 weeks we had no communication with Jacob other than a handwritten letter.
Finally, on February 11th we were able to hear his voice and see his face thanks to FaceTime.

so, during our time here thus far we have definitely stayed busy, many park trips, many day trips to indy , trips to west lafayette, celebrated birthdays and just enjoyed family time!!! oh and the snow!!

OCS has a website that (I thought frequently) updated pictures of the platoons. On the very first one, just when I think we needed it the most there he was running his initial PFT!!!

After weeks of wanting snow...just enough per Poppie to go down the big hill at Deming Park, WE GOT IT!!!! McKenzie & Poppie were so excited to go down the big hill! Lucky for us no one was there so they had fresh snow!!! I love the SMILES on BOTH of their faces!!! It was priceless!
Our little one is ALMOST 4 !!!
I can't believe our baby is ALMOST 4 (APRIL 3) !!!! Here are some pictures I took for her birthday invitations!!! I can't believe how fast time flies by!!!!

Mom's Birthday Party :) Feb 15th 2012
Since Pinterest is so popular...and YES I have fallen in to its trap...I used pinterest to inspire me for my mom's birthday party !
I started off by making these super easy & very yummy chicken bundles.
I used this recipe above. I didn't have any sesame seeds but they still turned out perfect!!

Our Today show Appearance
While visiting my parents we thought...."how many times are you this close to the super bowl and the Today show not to go" On that Thursday night February 2, 2012 we bought some glitter & poster board and decided to make some signs! McKenzie & I made one for Jacob since he is currently gone to OCS and we miss him so bad we thought we would put that we love & miss our daddy. Holly on the hand put her tweeter name on hers and I drew the Tweeter bird on it and we completely glittered them up! That Friday morning we had intentions of leaving by 5:00 however we didn't get on the road until closer to 5:30. All down in the dumps because we still had an hour left to go, we figured we would never get a good spot yet alone get on TV. We got to Indy about 6:30 and parked got our signs together and headed out. Tons of people were everywhere leaving no spots to see the band or the Today crew. Then out of no where we saw an opening and took off. We where there, right smack behind the band!!! We had an amazing time listening to Adam Levine warm up and then perform on LIVE TV. We watched Al Roker zip line in and over all had an amazing time. We even ended up on ESPN! It was crazy!!! So here is our national TV debut !!!
