Matthew 6:31,32,33

31) So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing. 32) Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, 33) and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the kingdom of God your primary concern. To make the Kingdom of God your primary concern means to put God first in your life, to fill your thoughts with his desires, to take his character for your pattern, and to serve and obey him in everything. What is really important to you? People, objects, goals, and other desires all compete for priority. Any of these can quickly bump God out of first place if you don't actively choose to give him first place in every area of your life.

Christmas (part 2)

Christmas 2010 (Part 1)

I must say McKenzie was a VERY good girl this year. We are blessed with so many wonderful people in our lives. McKenzie definitely had an abundance of gifts. During all of our travels I LOST or misplaced (either way ...have not found it yet) my memory stick from Christmas morning I had ran out of space after McKenzie opened her gifts and changed cards. Somewhere between my parents, Jacob's parents and anywhere we went in between it got lost :( a very SAD moment for me since I am a PICTURE FREAK!!! haha !!! But here is some of what I have!!!

Psalm 84:11

For the Lord God is our light and protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will the Lord withhold from those who do what is right. God does not promise to give us everything we think is good, but he will not withhold what is permanently good. He will give us the means to walk along his paths, but we must do the walking. When we obey him, he will not hold anything back that will help us serve him.

McKenzie's 1st SNOW :)

On Christmas Day 12/25/2010 McKenzie experienced not only her first snow, but her first WHITE Christmas!!! It was amazing! She LOVED it and wanted to keep playing in it and was not aware that she was getting wet! She definitely enjoyed herslef. Her and her Poppie were sliding down the hill, it was priceless! and she made a snowman!!!

Psalm 37:4-7

I thought I would share with you a daily devotional I get from a wonderful friend of mine. I enjoy these emails and thought you might too!!! (all of this is just part of my new year's GOALS...not resolutions, because resolutions get broken....GOALS get met!!!!)

4) Take delight in the Lord and he will give you your hearts desires. 5) Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him and he will help you. 6) He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn and the justice of your cause will shine like noonday sun. 7) Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. We must take delight in the Lord and to commit everything we have and do to him. But how do we do this? To delight in someone means to experience great pleasure and joy in his or her presence. This happens only when we know that person well. Thus, to delight in the Lord, we must know him better. Knowledge of Gods great love for us will indeed give us delight. To commit ourselves to the Lord means entrusting everything- our lives, families, jobs, possessions- to his control and guidance. To commit ourselves to the Lord means to trust in him believing that he can care for us better than we can ourselves. We should be willing to wait patiently for him to work out what is best for us.
