Time to dye eggs... (April 11, 2009)

It was McKenzie first time to dye eggs. She wanted to throw them into the glasses, then once the egg was in the glass she immediately wanted to take it out. It was a constant fight trying to keep her fingers out of the dye... needless to say we all had colorful finger tips after we were done. We made our own colors by using the food coloring and our eggs turned out pretty cute! Jacob got a little crazy with some of the colors!

On Easter weekend, we got McKenzie's swimming pool out and got it blown up and ready for her to play in it. Again, I think Bob had more fun it in then McKenzie did. She liked to look at the water in the pool but she did not want to get in it... Bob loved drinking the water out of the pool and of course McKenzie thought this was too funny!! McKenzie liked sitting in the beach chair and playing with her sun tan lotion. She rode in her waggon, played on her slide, tried to blow bubbles, played with her Easter eggs and chased Bob around the back yard!

We decided to hook the sprinkler up and let McKenzie play in it since it was so HOT! However, we think Bob had more fun than any body. McKenzie was not too sure about the water, she laughed and laughed at Bob playing in it, so Jacob took her and ran through it, she LOVED this. They did this several times, with McKenzie laughing like crazy!!! Jacob took her around on the waggon. In the pictures it is so cute, Jacob would say, wave at Mommy! You can also tell, that Daddy has his shirt off in need of working on his "farmer's tan", since he is outside so much in DI school in his cammies, he has got a funny tan line, I wish you could see his ball head!!! He has a tan line around the top where his cover goes. I love it! We had a blast spending so good fun time with Daddy!!!

Panama City Beach, FL with Mimi & PawPaw July 19th 2008

Over the summer while Jacob was gone to Sergeant's Course in Jacksonville, NC, McKenzie and I went to Bama for most of his time there. Mimi & PawPaw took us to the beach! We had a great time, we stayed in a nice condo on the beach we went swimming, hung out on the beach, we went out to dinner, we took a boat out on the ocean, played mini golf and went shopping. We ate at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and as Aunt Holly would say "we all ate Cheeseburger's in Paradise" . Jody had an unfortunate incident with McKenzie, we were waiting outside to eat and Jody had been holding McKenzie. Apparently McKenzie was extremely comfortable and poopoo ALL over Jody. He had to go back to the condo and change clothes. It was so funny!!! I also had McKenzie's pictures taken out on the beach by a wonderful photographer. I think the photos he took are some of my favorites!!! All in all we had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending it with the family! We are looking forward to this years beach trip already!!!

Oh yeah... how could I forget, the funniest part of the whole trip. PawPaw getting pulled over by the boat police!!!! good times :)

McKenzie & her boyfriend "SPIDERMAN" Feb 13, 2009

We were walking into Babies R us and Spiderman caught McKenzie's eye. So I put her on the ride with him. She LOVED it, she put her arm on his shoulder and sat next to him. She gave him kisses and did not want to get off when the ride was over!!! I think she fell in love with him!

A day at the Beach! April 19, 2009

McKenzie and I stopped by the beach, last weekend after we dropped Daddy off at school. It was a beautiful day, so I thought that she would enjoy it. We took a walk down the peir and watched the boats go by. You would think that since McKenzie has been to the beach a million times before she turned a year old that she would love it...lol!!! So, then we went to play in the sand. ( I must admit, I am having a time getting use to this beach as compared to the Gulf Coast) She was hillarious, I never could really capture a good picture of the face that she was making. She could not understand why her feet were getting stuck in the sand, she kept lefting he feet up when she walked.( it was so funny) We were throwing shells into the ocean and she liked to watch them splash. I tried to get her to touch the water, but she was not too sure about it. With us living minutes from the beach....she better get use to it!!! WE are going to be there a lot!

McKenzie and Santa Claus 2008

With Christmas being my absolute favorite holiday, I wanted a cute picture of McKenzie and Santa Claus. Well... we tried and tried... they got worse the more times we saw him! Ironically every single time, we where the 1st in line...we waited for 2 hours the day after Thanksgiving to see him! (not because the line was long, because there was no line, lol, we started it) I was concerned that we would have to wait in line a long time. Then we saw Santa Claus the next weekend at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Base. This reaction was worse. Santa Claus came riding up on a fire truck! I think it was probably all the noise that contributed to this one being bad! Then we saw him at Jacob work Christmas party, this one was just funny!!! I am hoping that maybe next years Santa Claus pictures will be better, but these will definitely be ones to remember!
